Itinerary

A Himalayan Glacier representative will meet us at Kathmandu's Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA) and take us to our accommodation. We rest or visit Himalayan Glacier's office after checking in. We may also buy in Kathmandu's tourist hub, Thamel. Himalayan Glacier hosts an evening welcome dinner. Dinner will be traditional Nepalese cuisine that will introduce you to the culture.

After breakfast, we see Kathmandu's historical and spiritual sites. Some of these landmarks are World Heritage Sites, including Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Bouddhanath, one of the world's largest stupas. At noon, we'll meet our hike leader and team leader.

Early in the morning, we begin our lengthy journey to Syange. Along the way, we get to see Nepal's scenery, which includes verdant hills, twisting rivers, terraced fields, and, of course, the majestic Himalayas. In Syange for the night.

After crossing a major bridge near Tal, we arrive in Manang district. The trail travels through barley, rice, and potato farms, and the waterfalls are still there to greet us. Before arriving at Dharapani, we pass through the village of Kodo, which is one of the largest in the Manang valley. Dharapani is where you'll spend the night.

Today we trek difficult forested ridges and landslides to Chame. Lamjung Himal, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV are visible in the sky (7,525m). Small hot springs help us relax.

We go down a narrow valley to get our first glimpse of Paungda Danda, a stunning curved rock wall soaring 1500 meters above the river. We also get great views of Annapurna 2 to the south and Pisang Peak to the northeast from here. Following that, we descend to the Manang Valley's level, where we may take in the breathtaking scenery. In Pisang, spend the night.

There are two ways to get to Manang from Pisang. We opt for the route that travels through Upper Pisang through Geru because it offers spectacular views of Mt. Annapurna, Pisang Peak, and other peaks. As we go closer to Manang, the weather turns colder and drier. However, a quick visit to Barge Monastery, the district's largest monastery, should cheer us up. In Manang, spend the night.

We keep ourselves occupied today with a short climb to either Bhojo Gumba or Gangapurna Lake in order to stay fit for the trails ahead. If we have enough stamina, we can go to Vraga Village and visit the Himalayan Rescue Association, which will provide us with information about Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). In Manang, spend the night.

We leave Manang through the western gates and descend the slope to the river. We cross the river and continue walking through the coniferous forest on the other side. We continue walking up to Siri Kharka after passing through Kangsar Village, passing a monastery along the route. The uphill hike may be difficult, but we will be accompanied by Gungang Himal and Mt. Chulu in the background. Siri Kharka is where you'll spend the night.

While the path from Siri Kharka to Tilicho Base Camp is not very steep or physically demanding, it can be tiresome due to the fact that we must go on small trails through loose scree and landslides. Our walk passes through the heart of the landslide region, where we can observe some spectacular rock formations. Tilicho Base Camp is where you'll spend the night.

Our track continues to follow the side of the mountain in a slow to strong elevation before reaching the watershed after the initial rough, steep, switchback ascent. Yaks and deer graze above and below our track as we travel. On the other side is Tilicho Lake, a big, magnificently situated lake at the foot of Tilicho Peak's north slope. The French expedition team's leader referred to the lake as 'The Great Ice Lake.' The Lake is also significant to Hindus, as it is mentioned in one of their holiest writings, The Ramayan. We return to Siri Kharka by retracing our steps. Siri Kharka is where you'll spend the night.

We leave Siri Kharka and make our way down to Khangsar Village. We pass through Tare Gumba, a thousand-year-old monastery that is extremely important to the locals. When we arrive in Khangsar Village, we notice that it is deserted, with the exception of a few herders during festival periods. Out of Khangsar, we follow a rock wall. We continue walking till we reach the Thorang Khola valley's seasonal bridge. After crossing the river, we climb to a plateau for a bit. Continue walking till you reach Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is where you'll spend the night.

To go to Thorang Phedi, you must hike uphill. We arrive in Ledar village after walking for a while and crossing a suspension bridge. Before reaching Thorang Phedi, the last settlement before Thorong La, we continue ascending and pass past huge rocks. We get one of the nicest views of Mt. Gudang, Mt. Syagang, Thorung Peak, and Mt. Khatungkan on this excursion. Thorang Phedi is where you'll spend the night.

Our final goal today will be to cross the Thorong La pass, one of the world's highest passes. We'll cross the pass from east to west (Manang to Muktinath), which is the most convenient and safe route. We get up at three a.m. and go for a hike up the mountain. When we reach the summit, we realize that our trek was well worth it. Before traveling to Muktinath Valley at the foot of the Thorong La pass, we can take a few shots. Muktinath is where you'll spend the night.

We go to the Muktinath Temple in the morning, which is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. The temple is thought to be a significant site in Hinduism known as Mukti Kshetra, which literally means "place of freedom or moksha." We drive to Tatopani and spend the night after visiting the sacred site.

We headed up the Ghar Khola valley, leaving the Kali Gandaki behind. The walk takes us through a terraced field surrounded by mountains. Before reaching a lovely rhododendron woodland, we pass via the villages of Shikha and Chitre. Rhododendron trees, which may grow up to 100 inches tall when in bloom, are covered in pink or red blooms. We continue walking till we reach Ghorepani, a lovely town perched on a ridge. Ghorepani is where you'll spend the night.

We start early in the morning to ascend the hard trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m/10,529ft), the most popular trekking site in the Annapurna region, to see the sunrise over the Himalayas. It's also a fantastic vantage point for viewing Mustang, Pokhara, and more than 20 of the world's highest peaks, including close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The high mountains' snowy summits loom above and around us, shimmering in the dawn light. We return to Ghorepani after taking photographs. We drive east after breakfast and climb a neighboring mountain. We pass through rhododendron forests and magnificent waterfalls on our way to Tadapani, where we will spend the night.

The journey from Tadapani to Ghandruk will take you through a dense rhododendron forest. We arrive in Ghandruk, a slope community with stone dwellings largely inhabited by the Gurung people, after a short climb. We have a great view of the Fishtail, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli mountains from here. We continue trekking till Naya Pul and then travel to Pokhara. Pokhara is where you'll spend the night.

After breakfast, we bid farewell to Pokhara, a lovely lake city, and depart for Kathmandu. We have the rest of the day free after arriving in Kathmandu to relax or do souvenir shopping. In the evening, we will enjoy a farewell meal to commemorate the successful conclusion of our voyage.

Our adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! A Himalayan Glacier representative will escort us to the airport approximately 3 hours before our scheduled flight. On our way home, we have plenty of time to plan our next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
