Itinerary

Meet our agent and transfer to the hotel upon arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. After checking in, receive a briefing on the tour and spend the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, we go on a guided tour of the Kathmandu valley's four UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhu, and Boudhnath.
The palaces of the medieval Kings who ruled over the Kathmandu Kingdom may be found in Kathmandu Durbar Square. Swayambhu, which means "self-existent," is one of the world's oldest Buddhist stupas. The stupa is also known for its location on a hilltop and is known among international visitors as the Monkey Temple due to the great number of monkeys that live in the region. Pashupatinath, along with the Aryaghat or Funeral Site along the Bagmati River, is considered one of the most sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites in the world. Bouddha Nath, a Buddhist shrine, is one of the world's largest stupas and one of Kathmandu's holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourism destinations.

After breakfast, we will begin our tour of several cultural and natural sites. Patan, popularly known as "The City of Fine Arts," is home to numerous ancient sites, temples, and shrines with superb carvings. With its mustard-oil seed industrial heritage, Khokana hamlet has been nominated to be designated as a World Heritage Site. Bungmati is a peaceful medieval village with a lovely temple in the village square and medieval buildings with onions and red chilies hanging from their windows. Then we travel to Nagarkot, which is 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu and is at an elevation of 2,175 meters (7,136 feet) above sea level. We spend the night in Nagarkot to take in the spectacular sunrise and sunset vistas of the eastern Nepal Himalayas, including Mt Everest. Nagarkot is a place where you can spend the night.

After breakfast and taking in the beautiful morning views of the Himalayas from Nagarkot, we travel to Changu Narayan, Kathmandu's oldest pagoda temple and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The road leading to Changu Narayan passes past tiny villages and farmlands, with farmers plowing their fields. Similarly, Bhaktapur, or the Town of the Devotees, is a medieval town that has preserved medieval arts, architecture, culture, and way of life to this day. Of the Valley's three Durbar Squares, Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the most preserved. In 1979, the Durbar Square was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While going around Bhaktapur's thoroughfares, squares, and streets, one is guaranteed to feel transported back in time. Kathmandu is where you will spend the night.
