Itinerary

We will meet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel in Kathmandu when you arrive in Kathmandu. Free time in the evening to explore the surroundings on your own.

We take you to these prominent Hindu landmarks and temples, including Pashupatinath and many temples in Durbar Square, because Kathmandu is a city of temples and shrines. Boudhanath and Swoyambhunath are two Buddhist temples that we visit. These locations showcase Nepal's true architectural splendor as well as its cultural variety. In the evening, you meet with your guide and discuss the trek's preparations, gear, and plans with him. Stay in the hotel for the night.

Take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Tumlingtar, which takes around 1 hour. A simple lodge is where you'll spend the night.

We continue north along the Arun River, stopping for lunch at Balwa Besi after about an hour of walking. Then we began a long ascent through the forest to Marduna. Marduna is where we will spend the night.

On this day, we go uphill first, then downhill until we reach Chikhuwa Khola. Then we have lunch at Ghote Bazaar, where there is basic lodging. We journey to Dobani after lunch and spend the night there.

This day will be all uphill, and we will stop for lunch in Tallophedi. Then it's on to Salpa Phedi. Then we travel to Salpa Phedi, where there are some really lovely tea houses with good food and accommodations.

We begin trekking early in the morning; the trail is steep and difficult all day. As a result, you can get as high as you want before the sun gets too hot. Along the journey, you'll pass through a few tiny villages where you can stop for tea and lunch. Guranse is where you'll spend the night.

After a short walk from Guranse, we reach the Salpa La pass (3350m), then descend through the forest to Dhaka, where we have lunch. From there, it is undulating and then slightly up to Sanam, where there is a wonderful lodge. Sanam is where you'll spend the night.

We climb downhill to Guidel for lunch, then steeply downhill to Hongu Khola for a crossing, then slightly up and via terraces to Bung. Bung is a Rai village where they leave. Bung for the night.

This day will be mostly uphill, although it will be a short hike of only around 4 hours. At Boskam Gompa, there are several excellent tea places. Boskam Gompa is where you'll spend the night.

Walking onward from Gaikharka, we walk through a humid, ferny jungle before crossing the Hinku Khola on a 62-meter-long steel bridge. After passing by two beautiful waterfalls, the trail ascends vertically to the valley of Sibuje (2500m), also known as Vasme and Chatuk. Vasme camp for the night.

We depart Vasme and travel uphill, where you will see a small village Gompa. The track climbs for an hour through a tangle of rhododendrons. We'll arrive at Pangum La Pass, where we'll be treated to spectacular views of Mera Peak (6476m) and the Khumbu Himalaya. Then it's a short hike to Pangum Gompa, where we'll spend the night. Walking onward from Gaikharka, we walk through a humid, ferny jungle before crossing the Hinku Khola on a 62-meter-long steel bridge. After passing by two beautiful waterfalls, the trail ascends vertically to the valley of Sibuje (2500m), also known as Vasme and Chatuk. Vasme camp for the night.

Final days of hiking before joining the main route from Jiri, including crossing the Arun valley trek's final La. At first, it's downhill, then it's up and over Kari La. (3145m). On the top of the pass, there is a tiny tea house where we had lunch. Then it's downhill, fairly steeply near the end, until where the Arun Valley trail crosses the Jiri-Paiya route. Paiya is a lovely settlement that sits on the banks of a little tributary of the Dhud Kosi.

We will leave Painya today and go along the track to Lukla, passing through various Sherpa settlements and over a suspension bridge spanning the Thado Koshi. We spend the night in Lukla at a camp.

After arriving in Kathmandu early in the morning, our guide will transfer you to your accommodation. With your Himalayan excursion concluding with us, you may have time to relax after your trek, catch your breath, and rest at your hotel.
